Eldon Leo Pierce, 83. of Moberly, Mo., was born June 30, 1908, in Villlsca, the son of Alice Lacock and Herbert Pierce, and died Aug. 30. 1991, at his home. During his teen years, he lived with his sister, Minnie and Ray McFarling and Lloris at rural Nodaway.
On Feb. 11, 1931, he married Opal Damewood in Red Oak. He farmed and later operated a service station in Villisca for several years. He was honorably discharged from service in World War II.
Preceding him in death were two sons. Dean and Wayne Pierce, a grandson: brother: sister; and his parents.
He is survived by his wife Opal of Route 2, Moberly, Mo.; three daughters, Alice and her husband Bill Smiley of Ft. Orange. Fla., Wllma and her husband Eugene Woods of Sturgeon, Mo., and Carol and her husband Harvey BuschKoetter of Moberly, Mo.: two sons, Donald Pierce and his wife Joann of Holden, Mo., and Bruce Pierce of Moberly. Mo.; and a sister, Grace Beck of Arlington, Ill.
