SHERIDAN, Mo. - Lois Pauline Constant, 90, Sheridan, passed away April 24, 2013, at the Worth County Convalescent Center in Grant City, Mo.
She was born April 11, 1923, in Guss, Iowa, to Charles Montgomery and Ida May (Hardee) Pullen.
She grew up on a farm near Bedford, Iowa, and graduated from Bedford High School in 1942.
On October 2, 1945, Lois married Keith Constant and moved to Sheridan, where she lived her entire life.
She helped Keith with his trucking business, often driving one truck hauling grain and livestock.
In 1967, she began work as a Postal Clerk in Sheridan, becoming Postmaster in 1977. She retired in 1987 to help care for her daughter, Sharon.
Lois was a member of the Sheridan United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by daughter, Linda (Eugene) Keats, Stewartsville, Mo.; brother, Delmar (Lillian) Pullen, Council Bluffs, Iowa; two grandchildren, Joshua (Laura) Parman, Sheridan, and Melissa Parman, Kirksville, Mo.; four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
