Hippler Sr. and Phyllis C. (Elkins) Morton, he lived in Maine his whole life. John was an incredibly handy man who enjoyed fixing things. He worked as the mechanic and was the "go-to" guy for any repair needs to anyone who knew him. John always kept himself busy with one task or another; he enjoyed working on many projects. John is survived by his mother, Phyllis Morton, of Knox; his sons, John Jr. and wife Cami, of Oakland, and Alan and wife Melanie, of West Gardiner; his daughter, Samantha and companion Jeff Allen, of Oakland; as well as other relatives including eight grandchildren, siblings, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends, especially Marion and Lauren Speckmann.
