  Press and Sun-Bulletin April 29, 1969 William R. Yates, 76, died April 27, 1969 at Mease Hospital, Dunedin, Fla., after a short illness. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bessie A. Yates, Dunedin; two sons, William A. Yates, Germantown, Md., Kenneth R. Yates, Huntsville, Ala.; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews. He was a lifelong resident of Binghamton. He was an active member of Ross Memorial Presbyterian Church where he derved 25 years as an elder, trustee and deacon. He was a Republican committeeman in the 5th ward for several years. He worked as an accountant at the former Kay's Durgin Dental Supply Company for 38 years and retired in 1957.
