  Mariposa Gazette February 7, 1957 Martha Haskell, 98, La Grange Pioneer, Dies Services were held Monday at the Ivers and Alcorn Mission chapel in Merced for Mrs. Martha L. Haskell, 98, native of the La Grange area and life time resident of that area and the Le Grand and Plainsburg areas, where she and her late husband, L. W. Haskell, were extensive grain farmers. She leaves seven children, 17 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren. Surviving children are Mrs. Laura Helm, Bakersfield; Mrs. Nellie Bennett, Oakland; Mrs. Celia Brown, Merced; Mrs. Belle Binning, Cathay; Mrs. Millie McMaster, Merced; Mrs. Edna Poor, Merced, and a son, Pearlie Poor, Mariposa.
