  Benson Funeral Home Vivian Jane Kinnamon Elsing, age 57, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at the South Shore Care Center in Worthington, MN. She was born on February 4, 1964, to Ruth (Stevens) and Thomas Kinnamon. Vivian grew up in California and moved to Minnesota as a teenager. She graduated from Worthington High School in 1982. Vivian went on to get her B.S. in Elementary Education from Southwest State University in Marshall, MN, then her M.S. in Special Education from MSU in Mankato, MN. She worked as a teacher then transitioned into substitute teaching. Vivian was married to Kevin Schroer for 13 years and had a son, David. They divorced, and later she married Byron Elsing. They had a daughter, Nicole. They divorced after 13 years. Vivian loved her children. She enjoyed and appreciated Nicole taking her to appointments and spending time with her. Vivian had a fondness, or perhaps, an obsession with cats. She loved to color and collect things. Vivian had many friends who she loved like family. She had a big heart. Vivian is survived by her daughter, Nicole; son, David; cat, Lucky, and sister, Valerie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Thomas; step dad, Jack, and sister, Donna.
