Jeffrey was born on April 27, 1952, in Hartford, Conn., the son of Edmund and Mary Knox. He grew up in Portland and graduated from Deering High School in 1970. He then attended Southern Maine Vocational Institute and worked as a machinist at Brackett Machine in Westbrook. In his free time, Jeffrey enjoyed hunting, fishing and gunsmithing. He was predeceased by his father, Edmond Knox, and his mother, Mary Knox. He is survived by his brother, Steven Knox and his wife, Carol Knox, of Laveen, Ariz.; two nieces, Katrina Martinez and her husband, John, of Phoenix, Ariz., and Lorene Atwood and her husband, Joshua Atwood, of New Portland, Maine; five great-nieces and nephews: Isabel, Anthony and Elise Martinez, and Chandler and Brooke Atwood.
