WINTHROP - Jerilyn A. Heath, 41, of North Monmouth, died Thursday, July 25, 2002, at Central Maine Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born Nov. 1, 1960, the daughter of Afton and Pauline (Richardson) Gove. Jeri attended local schools and graduated with the Winthrop High School class of 1979. Jeri was subsequently employed by several local firms, where she established herself as a conscientious and versatile employee. She was most recently employed by the Maine State Retirement System, where her vibrant personality, work ethic and integrity won her not only the admiration of her co-workers, but the respect of her superiors and clients as well. Above all, Jeri was a vital member of a large and loving family and who was a constant positive presence at holidays and family events. With insight lacking in many of us, Jeri focused on her love of family and the outdoors, savoring each experience as if it might be her last. In doing so, she created a legacy with her brief but fruitful life, a wealth of treasured memories that those who remain can cherish for the rest of their days. Anyone whose life has been touched by this lovely young woman will encounter her aura in the soft breezes and sparkling dazzle of the Atlantic around Popham Beach, her most sacred of places. In addition to her parents, Jeri is survived by her daughter, Lindsay Mae Heath of North Monmouth; a sister, Audrey Donna Gove of Mechanic Falls; a brother, Alan T. Gove and his wife, Nancy June, of Mercer; her devoted companion of 10 years, Peter H. Danforth of North Monmouth; a former husband, Matthew G. Heath of Hallowell; beloved aunts and cousins; her niece, Meghan Gove of Skowhegan; nephews, Jesse and Nicholas Gove of Skowhegan, the inimitable Ryal L. Gove of Mercer, and Brett Laplante of Tallahassee, Fla. Especially close to Jeri were her lifelong friends, Tracy Vickerson, Kristy Vikerson and Cathy Cook, all of the local area, as well as many other dear friends.
