  Portland Press Herald (ME) March 27, 2006 WESTBROOK - Ella W. Chipman, 98, of Portland and formerly of Westbrook, died Friday, March 24, 2006 at Mercy Hospital in Portland. Ella was born in Westbrook, July 18, 1907, a daughter of Melvin H. and Sarah Smith Waterhouse. She attended Westbrook schools. She was a member of the Westbrook Warren Congregational Church, the Westbrook Woman's Club, Westbrook Senior Citizens, Westbrook Historical Society and Mizpah Chapter O.E.S. She was predeceased by her husband, Hanno R. Chipman Sr., and three sons, Hanno Jr., Robert, and Paul. She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Ann Dunn and her husband Boyd of Huntington, W. Va., and Harriet C. Woodman and her husband George of Westbrook; 18 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
