  KONRAD-BEHLMAN FUNERAL HOMES Norman O. Herring, age 92, passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at The Residence in Oshkosh. He was born on February 5, 1929, to the late Oscar and Jessie (Lautenschlager) Herring in Oshkosh. Norman was united in marriage to Beverly Bending on August 14, 1949. They enjoyed 70 wonderful years of marriage together. She preceded him in death on January 3, 2020. Norman was a member of the Oshkosh Aero Club, EAA Museum volunteer, and a pilot for about 20 years. He loved to dance, go on casino trips and was a Packer fan, win or lose. He was an avid beer can collector and never needed a reason to drink a beer or have a party. Norman could fix anything, a true handy man. He was a very devoted grandfather and made it to all of his grandkid's sporting events. Norman is survived by his sons: Gary Herring, Dale (Patti) Herring; grandchildren: Brian Herring, Jodi (Rob) Frank, Dustin (Dana Imse) Herring, Dylan Herring; great grandchildren: Hunter, Katie, Ciera, Jamye; siblings: Ken Herring, Bev Ponzer, Lois Bielmeier, Linda Grefsheim, and Barbara Mohling. He was further preceded in death by his brother, Robert "Fish" Herring.
