Josephine Preston, 68, co-proprietor of the former Wicker Hut in Danbury, died Tuesday at Danbury Hospital.
Mrs. Preston, of Danbury, was the wife of the late Myles B. Preston.
She was born in Queens, N.Y., June 20, 1929, a daughter of William T. and Josephine M. Treutlein Kacin.
She attended school in Queens and lived in New York until she moved to the Danbury area in 1978.
Mrs. Preston co-owned and operated the Wicker Hut until the late 1980s. She enjoyed traveling, reading and movies.
Surviving are a son, Douglas Preston of Wantagh, N.Y.; a daughter, MaryJane Preston-Blank of Carrboro, N.C.; a sister, Patricia Catalina of New York; and two grandchildren.
