  Obituary, Rochester Democrat and Chronicle November 23, 1889 Ex Supervisor John B. Haskell, of Clarkson, died suddenly Thursday night of heart failure, aged about 62 years. About 9 o'clock as he was retiring he was taken suddenly ill, and Mrs. Haskell summoned Dr. G. W. Miller, who responded at once, but could do nothing for the inflicted man, who died in a few minutes. Mr. Haskell was born in Clarkson, and had always been identified with the most important affairs of the town and county, and had represented it in the Board of Supervisors, being a member in the year 1887. He also served as constable, justice of the peace, and last spring was elected to the office of town collector. He leaves a wife and three children, three of whom are under 7 years of age, While the oldest, Mrs, James P, Costello, was married the day previous to he father's death.
