  The Grand Rapids Press (MI) January 25, 2018 Barbara R. Phillips, aged 89, of Wyoming, went to with her Lord on Tuesday, January 23, 2018. Barbara was very involved member of the American Legion Post 258 Women's Auxiliary sewing as president and chapeau. She was once honored with the Unsung Hero award as well. She was also a member of the Kent Salon 322, 8 and 40 for 31 years. She volunteered at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans especially around the holidays. Crossword puzzles were a passion, she enjoyed bowling, sang in the church choir, and was known for her fabulous potato salad which was requested at many family reunions. Her husband, Charles H.; daughter, Beth Phillips; sons, Michael and Charles; preceded her in death. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Douglas Phillips, Brian Phillips, Lesli (Christopher) Nyland; grandsons, Bart, Joseph, Cody Phillips; four great grandchildren; special aunt, Bunny Costello; and many nieces and nephews.
