  The Virginian-Pilot May 24, 1996 Pauline V. McNiff, 74, died May 23, 1996, in her home. A native of Holbrook, Mass., she was the widow of Eugene E. McNiff. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. She is survived by two daughters, Virginia L. James and Karen K. Schachtner, both of Virginia Beach; two sons, Eugene F. McNiff of Virginia Beach, Kevin P. McNiff of Franklin; three sisters, Jane Bowker of Inverness, Fla., Joann Atkinson of Johnston, R.I., Pat Davis of Hanford, Calif.; a brother, Alfred Coe of Maiden, N.C.; and eight grandchildren.
