  Asheville Citizen-Times (NC) April 8, 2004 Harriette Frances Covell, 88, of 1 Battle Square, Battery Park Apartments, Asheville, died Friday, April 2, 2004. A daughter of the late Samuel and Dora Tabakin, she was born Dec. 10, 1915, in Haddonfield, N.J., and was a graduate of New Jersey College for Women (now Rutgers). Ms. Covell was formerly a long-time resident of Barrington, R.I., where she raised a family and worked in several positions in department store retail sales, including many years as a buyer for the Outlet Co. in Providence. She also taught at Johnson and Wales. She leaves two sons, Alex T. Covell of Windham, N.H., and Christopher G. Covell of New York City, two grandchildren, one great-grandson and long-time companion, Richard Barrett of Asheville.
