  The Hartford Courant June 14, 1995 Donna (Stoddard) Tilley, 71, of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., formerly of Newington, died Monday, (June 5, 1995), at home. Born in Hartford, daughter of the late Kent E. and Myra (Elliott) Stoddard, she was raised in Newington before graduating from Duke University. She moved to Florida in 1976 from Durham, N.C. Mrs. Tilley was a member of First United Methodist Church, New Smyrna Beach, and active in many United Methodist activities citywide. She was presented two life memberships in the United Methodist Women's Society, selected Junior Woman of the Year of Salisbury, N.C. in 1956, and was active in Girl Scouts while living in North Carolina. Survivors include her husband, Sterling; a daughter, Sandra Putnam of Portland, Maine; a brothe r, K. Elliott Stoddard of Newington and New Smyrna Beach; two grandsons; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Marilyn Shieber, and a brother, Richard Stoddard.
