  The News-Press (Fort Myers, FL) October 23, 2004 Barbara Jean Way, age 78, of Punta Gorda, passed away October 21, 2004 in Lehigh Acres. She was born Jan. 18, 1926 in Lansing, MI. She had recently moved to Lehigh due to storm damage from hurricane Charley to her home in Punta Gorda, where she had lived for one year. She was a former, longtime resident of Lee County. Survivors include her children: Judy Janssen (Lamoine), Mission Hills, SD, Ricky Way (Rosemary), Punta Gorda, Dawn Mason (David), Alva and Connie Sempf (Billy), Hastings, MI, and daughter-in-law Liz Way, Bellevue, MI, fifteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. Interment will follow at Alva Cemetery.
