  The Dispatch-Argus (Moline, IL) March 17, 1997 Donald L. Talbot Sr., 75, of Geneseo, died Saturday, March 15, 1997, at his home. Donald L. Talbot Sr. was born Oct. 18, 1921, in East Moline, the son of Claude E. and Edith Meade Talbot. He married JoAnne Powers Nov. 28, 1946, in Geneseo. He served in the Army during WW II and worked at John Deere Foundry in East Moline for 371/2 years, retiring in 1984. Mr. Talbot was a member of Geneseo Masonic Stewart Lodge 92; Moline Consistory; Mohammed Shrine, Peoria; American Legion Shearer Post 350, Geneseo; and Blackhawk Shrine Club, Moline. He loved his family, doing yard work and going to yard sales. Survivors include his wife, JoAnne Talbot, Geneseo; a daughter and son-in-law, Jeane Marie and Robert E. Laskowski, Hilliards, Pa.; a son and daughter-in-law, Donald L. Jr. and Marlene Talbot, Colona; four granddaughters; two great-granddaughters; a great-grandson; brothers, Floyd Talbot, Geneseo, Eugene Talbot, Peoria, and Charles Talbot, in Arkansas; and a sister, Louie Ann Stottlen, St. Petersburg, Fla. He was preceded by five brothers and a sister.
