  The Peoria Journal Star April 1, 1996 KEWANEE -- Sherman E. Talbot, 80, of Kewanee Care Center died at 8:50 p.m. Friday, March 29, 1996, at Kewanee Hospital. He was born May 11, 1915, in Kewanee to John and Nellie Talbert Talbot. Surviving are one son, Mark of Indiana; one sister, Rose Ann Ericson of Galesburg; and one granddaughter. Three brothers and seven sisters preceded him in death. He worked in the shipping department of Kewanee Manufacturing Co. He later raised chickens and sold eggs and vegetables from his farm in Kewanee. A World War II Army veteran, he was wounded during the Battle of the Bulge.
