The death of Mrs. Belinda Talbot Welch occurred suddenly at her home Monday, May 30th, at 1 PM. Mrs. Welch had been a semi-invalid for several years but this spring seemed to regain her health and was able to assist with the home work, and her sudden death was a stock to her family and friends. She was devoted to her family and home and will be sadly missed by her devoted daughter, Vaxene, and her husband.
She was the daughter of Newell and Philura Burdick Talbot, born in the town of Edmeston, April 26, 1865, where she spent her entire live. November 10, 1885, she married Lewis Welch who survives; also four children, Newel, of West Edmeston; Murray, of Albany; Vaxene, who lived at home; Mrs. Clark Adams of Unadilla and one grandchild, Anna Doris Adams; one sister, Mrs. Clarissa Welch, of Leonardsville; two brothers, Daniel, of North Edmeston and Ellis of this place.
interment was made in the Leonardsville cemetery."
