  The Otsego Farmer February 3, 1939 Mrs. Mary Huestis passed away early last week Tuesday morning following an illness of four months. She was born in Edmeston, June 13, 1863, a daughter of Eben and Jane (Maxson) Talbot. Over fifty years ago she married Ralph Huestis who died in 1915. Mrs. Huestis was a talented musician, a member of the Methodist church, and acted as treasurer of the Missionary society for twenty years. Mrs. Huestis is survived by one son, Lynn Huestis; a granddaughter, Elaine Huestis and a sister, Mrs. Winifred Porter of Evanston, Ill. Funeral services were held Friday from her home, The Rev. Russell Hawke officiating and burial beside her husband in Union cemetery.
