  THE OTSEGO FARMER May 6, 1955 WEST EDMESTON Shirley Delos Talbot, aged 65, Assessor for the town of Edmeston, died at his home in West Edmeston, May 1, 1955. He had been in poor health for several months. Mr. Talbot was President of the local volunteer firemen and a past Noble Grand of Mt. Markham Lodge 1OOF, Unadilla Fork. He was born in Edmeston Januarry 30, 1890, a son of George Bell and Ada Giles Talbot. He married Ann Duteher on May 4, 1909. A carpenter by trade, he lived here all of his life and was a member of the Baptist Church and the men's Baracca Class. He leaves, besides his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Roy Webster, Sherhurne; a son, G. Edward Talbot, West Edmeston, a brother, Elbert Talbot, Earlville, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, three nephews and one niece.
