  The Peoria Journal Star (IL) October 28, 1995 GALESBURG -- Mary E. Jackson, 87, of the Knox County Nursing Home in Knoxville, formerly of 286 N. Ivan Ave., died at 4:15 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, 1995, at the nursing home. Born Sept. 16, 1908, in Billings, Mont., to Edward and Sarah Frye Garrigan, she married Earl R. Jackson on April 14, 1928, in Galesburg. He died June, 14, 1951. One son, Edward E., also preceded her in death in 1971. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Richard (Betty) Scott of Warminster, Pa.; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She worked as an aide at the former Galesburg State Research Hospital for 20 years, retiring in 1975.
