Helen F. Talbot, 88, our beloved mother, of Geneseo, passed away Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, on her birthday, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Helen was born Oct. 26, 1925, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Joe and Mary Lisjak Batich. She was united in marriage to Kenneth A. Talbot on Nov. 15, 1945, in Geneseo. He preceded her in death in 1972.
Helen worked for McLaughlin Body Company for 13 years, retiring in 1985.
Helen was a member of AMLA Lodge, American Mutual Life Association, and Local 1414 UAW. She enjoyed gardening, music, cooking and spending time with her family.
Survivors include five sons, Kenneth Talbot, Geneseo, Joseph (Pamela) Talbot, Concord, N.C., Gary (Jodell) Talbot, Geneseo, Mark (Ruth) Talbot, Colona, and Preston (Michelle)Talbot, Gurnee, Ill.; five daughters, Mary Fisher, Colona, Karen (John) Lefman, Kewanee, Phyllis (William) Eggerichs, Vermilion, Ohio, Gail (Ron) Andrews, Kewanee, Nancy Krachum, Moline; 33 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and brother, Raymond (Patricia) Batich, Willoughby, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; daughter, Elaine Baretto; daughter-in-law, Linda Talbot; sons-in-law, James Fisher and Steven Krachum; two grandchildren, Perry Talbot and Jared Talbot; and her brother, Joe Batich.
