June M. Mason, 74, a resident of Oak Glen Home, Coal Valley, formerly of East Moline, died Friday, Nov. 6, 1998, at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island.
June Riffle was born Feb. 3, 1924, in Moline, the daughter of James Arthur and Eleanor A. Talbot Riffle. She married Roy Lee Mason Jan. 31, 1947, in East Moline. He preceded her in death in June 1990.
She worked as a laborer for Eagle Signal Company and also the Licorice Factory in Moline. She was a member of Wildwood Baptist Church, where she taught kindergarten Sunday school for 25 years. She enjoyed ceramics and crafts.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Joy Mason-Baker and Stephen Baker, Naperville, and a stepdaughter, Judy Lee Green, Tooele, Utah.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Elmer A. ''Skeet'' Riffle, in 1944 during WW II.
