GENESEO, Ill. - Magda Helen Cochran, 92, a resident of Hillcrest Home, Geneseo, Ill., died Monday, March 1, 2004, at the Home.
Burial will be North Cemetery Geneseo.
Magda Helen was born Nov. 27, 1911, in Stephen, Minn., the daughter of Carl and Helena (Hansen) Gustafson. She married Harry Cochran on June 27, 1929, in Thief River Falls, Minn. He died in 1997. Helen had been employed as a nurse's aid at the Hammond-Henry Hospital in Geneseo for over 20 years. From which she retired. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church Geneseo, the WELCA of the Church and former member of the Spring Creek Grange. She enjoyed Crocheting, sewing, and being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Helen "Taught them to Love".
Survivors include her four daughters and spouses, Rosetta Byers, Moline, Pat Miller, Geneseo, Joy and Charles Sundeen, Geneseo, and Kathy and Mike Higgins, Davenport; a son and spouse, Carl and Arlene Cochran, Geneseo; a brother, Vernon Gustafson, Coon Rapids, Minn.; 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters, and a grandson.
