  Grand Island (Nebraska) Independent January 1983 Charles Talbot, 70, of 1412 N. Locust died Saturday at a local hospital. Mr. Talbot was born Aug. 1, 1912, at Kewanee, Ill., the son of Ira and Lula Earley Talbot. When he was 2, the family moved to Grand Island where he grew up and received his education. He married Hannah Lee on Nov. 25, 1929. They lived in Grand Island where he worked for the Cornhusker Army Ammunition Plant from 1951-1959 as a security guard. He also worked for Roush Motors for 24 years, retiring in 1974. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Eagles Aerie No. 378 and the Grand Generation Center, all in Grand Island. Survivors include his widow; two sons, Richard of Nora Springs, Iowa and Thomas of Hastings, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Velma McKee of Sidney; his stepmother, Alice Talbot of Columbus; two half-brothers, Robert Talbot of Washington, D.C., and William Talbot of Lincoln, and a half-sister, Mrs. Sally Ogden of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and a brother.
