  The Peoria Journal Star (IL) May 6, 2015 MORTON - Merideth E. Carroll, 88, of Morton passed away at 11:56 a.m. Monday, May 4, 2015, at Washington Christian Village. She was born Aug. 29, 1926, in Kewanee, Ill., to Miles and Leta (Wyant) Ball. She married William G. Carroll on Jan. 24, 1948, in Peoria. He preceded her in death on Feb. 2, 1990. She also was preceded in death by one brother. Surviving are one daughter, Terry (John) Wisslead of East Peoria; one son, Gary "Crow" Carroll of Deer Creek; four grandchildren, Carrie (Kevin) Peterson of Washington and Layla Carroll, Lola Carroll and Roan Carroll, all of Deer Creek; and two great-grandchildren, Becca Peterson of Chicago, Ill., and Rachel Peterson of Washington. Merideth attended Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Morton. She volunteered at the Morton Public Library and at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was past president and a member of the Morton Woman's Club.
