  The Virginian-Pilot April 24, 1997 Kevin Paul McNiff of the 8500 block of Southwestern Blvd. died April 22, 1997, from complications with his long-term illness, diabetes. He was a lifelong resident of the Tidewater area. Kevin was the son of the late Eugene E. and Pauline C. McNiff. He was an Eagle Scout and active in scouting for many years. He was a graduate of Norfolk Catholic High School and a graduate and employee of the Norshipco Apprenticeship Program. He is survived by his wife, Janet Lynn McNiff; two sons, Kevin Paul McNiff II, Ned Patrick McNiff; a brother, Eugene F. McNiff and family; two sisters, Virginia Lee James and family, Karen K. Schachtner and family and many other loving family members and friends.
