  Star-Gazette (Elmira, NY) November 23, 2004 Eleanor M. Rodgers of Elmira, N.Y passed away Monday, November 22, 2004 in the Chemung County Nursing Facility. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Jerry Rodgers; daughter, Sylvia Fuller; granddaughter, Dawn Fuller; and brothers, Ralph and Clyde VanPatten. Eleanor is survived by her children, Maxine and Tom Manning of Elmira; Don Cole of Rochester; Terry and Jackie Cole of Waverly; stepsons, David (Marion) Rodgers of Roanoak, VA and Ted Rodgers of Washington; grandchildren, Theresa (Steve) Woodworth; Thomas (Paula) Manning; Donna (Paul) Steinhilper; David Manning; Michael Manning; Renae Cole; Frances Snyder; Beth (Dan) Bower; Lisa (Tom) Sterling; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and dear friends, Marg Daniels and Dorothy Collson. Eleanor was a member of the Southside Baptist Church for many years; was a former member of the Elmira Eagles Club; liked to dance; and play cards, especially "Spoons". She enjoyed life to the fullest and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
