  Oneonta Star December 18, 1971 Leonardsville -- Roger E. Chase, 70, a former bus driver for Leonardsville Central School, died Friday, December 17 at Syracuse VA Hospital after a long illness. Burial will be in Edmeston Union Cemetery. Mr. Chase was born December 17, 1901, in Burlington Flats, the son of Duane and Della Van Wagner Chase. He married Sally Jones in 1960 in Leonardsville. He is a former garage operator and later worked as a bus driver and maintenance man with the Leonardscille Central School. He is a veteran of the U. S. Army Air Corps serving in India and Africa during World War II. He is a member of the Johnson-Rogers Post 1492 American Legion, and the Leonardsville Fire Department. He is survived by his wife, a brother, Ivan R. Chase, of Unadilla Forks and one cousin, Mrs. Carolyn Cornell of Edmeston.
