  The Peoria Journal Star (IL) November 7, 2013 TOULON - Gerald E. "Jerry" Brimmer, 55, of Toulon died at 6:06 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013, at UnityPoint Health-Methodist in Peoria. He was born June 6, 1958, in Kewanee, the son of Jack E. and Elizabeth Widger Brimmer. He married Diane Wasson on Feb. 14, 1988, in Bloomington, Ill. She survives; as well as a daughter, Cassandra, and a son, Pierce, both at home; and his special pets, Ziggy and Scooter. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Lisa; and two sisters in infancy. Jack attended Moline High School. He owned and operated Jerry's Towing in Bloomington. He enjoyed drag racing and was an avid Hot Wheels and slot car collector. He enjoyed anything automotive, except Fords.
