Allan Davis, 69, of 498 Durfee St., a self-employed woodsman who had operated a saw mill where he sold firewood, died yesterday at home. He was the husband of Judith M. (Stephens) Davis.
Born in Fall River, son of the late William W. and Ethel (Chase) Davis, he was a lifelong Fall River resident.
Mr. Davis was a member of the former North Methodist Church.
He had also worked for Brightman Saw Mill and Noverca's Saw Mill and had previously been a supervisor for Boston Sand and Gravel.
Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Todd M. Davis of Fall River; a daughter, Lucy E. Morse of Middleboro; two stepdaughters, Kimberly M. Williams and Lori A. Thomas, both of Fall River; a brother, William Davis of Walpole; a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Davis of Norwood, and four grandchildren.
