  	Newport Mercury and Weekly News June 30, 1939 Francis Corey of Washington, son of Irving Coreyof Green End avenue, Middl etown, were married Thursday evening and Stella Brown, daughter of Mrs. Stella Brown of Washington. The ceremony will be performed in the chapel of the Washington Methodist Church with a reception following at the Dodge Hotel. Mr. Corey, a native of Middletown, has been living in Washington about five years, where he is employed by the Washington Telephone and Telegraph Company. He has a sister, Mrs. Rudulf Heichtman, who lives in Fall River.

  Newport Daily News October 23, 1961 John Francis Corey, 46, formerly of Middletown, died yesterday in Washington D.C. He had been a member of Washington's metropolitan police force for 21 years. Burial will be in the Portsmouth cemetery. Mr. Corey was the son of Irving A. Corey of Green End Avenue, Middletown, and the late Florence Potter Corey. Besides his father, he leaves a daughter, Miss Marcia Corey of Washington; a brother, Edward A. Corey, of Del Ray, Fla.; and two sisters, Mrs. Lois Belick of Washington and Mrs. Eva Panunzio of Middletown.
