  The Bulletin, The (Bend, OR) April 7, 2007 Dr. Norman "Sylver" Lee, of Tumalo, died March 28 of age-related causes. He was 93. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Dr. Lee was born Aug. 22, 1913, in Junction City to Wright and Edith (Oswell) Lee. He married Katrina Mangiafico in Eugene in 2000. Dr. Lee served as a second lieutenant in World War II. He worked as a dentist until retiring in the mid-1970s. He was affiliated with the Obsidians Climbing Club, and he enjoyed mountain climbing, skiing, the natural world and "transcendentistry". Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Leslie Lee-Sogge and Linda Niemi; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, a sister and his first wife, Judy.
