Alfred H. Hazard of Green End avenue, Middletown, a farmer who observed his eighty sixth birthday anniversary December 1, died at his home Friday night after an illness of several years. Son of the late Alfred H. and Emma Hall Hazard, he had operated the family farm after his father's death many years ago.
He was much interested in music and while a young man played with the Berkeley Band, a group formed by his father, who also built Music Hall, site of musicales and dances and Berkeley parish activities. He later converted it into the family home.
Alfred Hazard leaves his wife, Mrs. Anastasia Sherman Hazard; two daughters, Mrs. Orell Sullivan of Middletown and Mrs. Howard Devlin of this city; three grandchildren, James Devlin, Mrs. Robert O'Connell and Miss Elizabeth Devlin of Middletown and two great grandchildren.
