  Newport Daily News September 20, 1897 Mrs. Edgar M. Sherman died Saturday morning. She had been ill but was better, and her sudden death was quiote unexpected. She was the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John S. Freeborn, who with four sisters and three brothers survive her.
