  Newport Mercury and Weekly News July 9, 1971 Arthur A. Freeborn, 62, of 1715 West Main road, Portsmouth, was stricken at his home last night and was dead on arrival at Newport Hospital. He was an insurance underwriter for Union Mutual Insurance Co. of Warwick where he worked for 22 years. He was a member of the Newport Federation of Musicians, Rhode Island Lodge of Odd Fellows and the Portsmouth Historical Society. Mr. Freeborn was born June 30, 1909, in Portsmouth, a son of Mrs. Sarah Huling Freeborn and the late John Freeborn. Besides his mother, he leaves two brothers, Homer Freeborn of Newport and Farrell Freeborn of Somerset, Mass.; and a sister, Mrs. Hope Hibbad of Newport. Burial was in Middletown Cemetery.
