Kenneth T. "Buzzy" Hope, 84, of Port Charlotte, Fla., died Wednesday, June 7, 2006, at his residence. He was born May 13, 1922, in Moore Haven, Fla., to Kenneth E. and Gertrude (Mitchell) Hope.
Mr. Hope served with the U.S. Army Air Corps and was a veteran of World War II. He worked in the phosphate industry and retired as a superintendent. Mr. Hope lived in El Jobean, Fla., for 20 years. He was an avid fisherman and boater, and he was a member of Murdock Baptist Church.
Mr. Hope will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Marjorie Hope; his children, Duane V. Hope, Cheryl L. Cruthirds, Karen H. (Drew) DuRocher, JoAnn M. (Pete) Harmon, Robin J. (Brian) DeWelles, Cynthia R. (Mike) Musto and Christopher R. (Joyce) Hope; his brother, Duane F. "Buck" Hope; his 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Mitchell Hope; and his sister, Nola Griffin.
