  Providence Journal (RI) September 23, 2001 DOROTHY G. WINGATE, 79, of Sprague Street, Greenville, a retired office administrator, died yesterday at home. She was the wife of the late Frank E. Wingate. Born in Little Compton, a daughter of the late William and Rose (Dailey) Carter, she had lived in North Providence and Fall River before moving to the Greenville section of Smithfield 45 years ago. Mrs. Wingate was an office administrator at the Smithfield YMCA for 23 years, before retiring last year. She is survived by two daughters, Patricia A. Brunette of Woonsocket and Mary E. Gustafson of Lincoln; two sons, Frank E. Wingate of Greenville and Peter A. Wingate of Providence; a sister, Marjorie Simmons, and a brother, William Carter, both of Little Compton; and five grandchildren.
