Miss Eva Louise Corey, daughter of Irving Corey, was married Wednesday eve
ning at the studio of Mr. Corey on Bliss Mine road, Middletown, to Walter Cuddy Shea of this city. Rev. John Bertram Lyle, rector of St. George's church was the officiating clergyman.'

Also Eva Louise Shea vs Walter C. Shea, another Middletown case, which struck a snag. The marriage was June 11, 1030, and he left her the next day, and even refused to recognize her on the street. Her brother tried to help, but the desertion was final. She was confined in the hospital for some days. She became delerious and called for him. It had a serious effect on her, physically and mentally, and she was obliged to go away and find employment. The charge was extreme cruelty. The court asked " Why did you not wait another day before filing her petition and file for non support." Judge Curry said she insisted she could not wait. The court hesitated to decide that the desertion was cruelty, but took the case under advisement.
