  Oakland Tribune June 9, 1937 Quincy. June 9, (AP) Henry John Langhorst, 55, former lumber mill owner and government official, died at Portola Hospital after a lingering illness. Langhost, born in this county was stricken shortly after his wife was killed in an automobile accident last February 25. _____ Reno Evening Gazette June 9, 1937 Henry J. Langhorst, prominent Plumas county lumberman, died Yesterday at Portola hospital from injuries recieved in an automobile accident, according to word recieved by Reno relatives. His wife, Mrs. Edith Barrett Langhorst, was instantly killed in the accident, a head on collision which occured several months ago. He was a native of Plumas county and spent all his life in that vicinity, engaging in the lumber business. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Lillian Jones, a brother, George C. Langhorst, and three nieces, Mrs. Louise Stetler, Mrs. Marian Dwyer and Ruth L. Jones, all of Reno.
