LENOX -- Mary V. Beechman, 89, of 40 Sunset Ave. died yesterday morning at Kimball Farms Nursing Care Center, where she had resided since Sept. 30, 2002.
Born in Lenox Dale on May 19, 1915, daughter of Harry A. and Mary Watkins Joyner, she attended the former Lenox Dale Grammar School and Lenox High School. Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Beechman had been employed at the former Monument Mills in Housatonic in her youth.
Her husband, Walter Beechman, whom she married Jan. 17, 1937, died March 4, 1998.
She leaves a son, Stanley E. "Skip" Joyner of Lenox; a brother, J. Edgar Joyner of Jacksonville Beach, Fla.; a sister, Dorothy Farrington of Lenox; two grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Another son, Walter "Butch" Beechman, died in 1962.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Mrs. Mary V. Beechman, lovingly known to family and friends as "Ma," died Sept. 14, 2004.
Mrs. Beechman is also survived by her grandchildren, Allan E. Joyner and Karen L. Joyner, both of Lenox, and her great-grandchildren, Jeffrey and Richard Carpenter, Jason Joyner and Allison Joyner Kearns and her husband, Tim. Also her beloved daughter-in-law, Claudine C. Joyner, and her granddaughter-in-law, Martha E. Joyner.
