Stanley E. Joyner, known to most as Skip, Zack, Dad, or Gramp, succumbed to his long battle with cancer March 13, 2016. He was 85 years old.
Born in Lenox Dale, MA, he spent his working years driving trucks and was an asphalt paving operator as a member of Operating Engineers Local 98. He also was an owner-operator of Zack Trucking with his son who took over the business several years ago.
He had a band called The Country Cousins, who were famous for their round and square dancing all over Berkshire County and into N.Y. State.
He is survived by his wife Claudine, his son Allan and his wife Martha (Meb) Joyner, and daughter Karen Joyner; grandchildren Jeffrey Carpenter and his fiancée Trish and her children Adam and Leah, Richard Carpenter and his significant other Jen Galvagni, Jason Joyner and his fiancée Jenn and her son Aiden, and Allison Kearns and her husband Tim; and greatgrandchildren Lexi and Miles Carpenter and Zachary Kearns.
He was predeceased by his mother Mary Joyner Beechman and father Walter, Sr. and a brother Walter Beechman, Jr.
