PITTSFIELD, Jack E. Joyner, 91, formerly of 65 Columbus Ave., died suddenly following a motor vehicle accident.
Born in Pittsfield on August 4, 1922 he was the son of and Louise Tyler, he was a 1939 Lenox High School. He served in the US Marine Corps during World War II in the South Pacific theatre.
Jack was employed at General Electric for 43 years in the Transformer Manufacturing division retiring in 1985, following that he worked at Manning Livery for 10 years and then at Abbott's Limousine and Livery Service for three years.
He enjoyed deep sea fishing, hunting, playing golf, was a member of the GE Pensioners and was a Little League baseball coach for many years and a member of the Lanesboro American Legion.
He leaves his daughters, Sue Joyner and her companion Gary Ouimet of Pittsfield, Nancy Larson and her husband Gaylen of California; son, Gary Joyner and his wife Julie of Stephentown, N.Y.; grandchildren, Jason Caparrelli, Sarah Aherne, Elisha Poirier, Tyler Joyner; seven great-grandchildren and sisters Theresa Freelin of East Lee, Joyce Leydette of Lenoxdale, and Joan Bentley of North Carolina.
He was predeceased by his sisters, Phyllis Pereglou and Marion Wellington, and brother, Tom Tyler.
