  York Daily Record (PA) June 2, 1994 YORK - Walter C. Urling Jr., 74, of Springettsbury Township, died at 8:32 a.m. Wednesday at York Hospital. He was the husband of Audrey (Bracken) Urling. Mr. Urling was born on Oct. 16, 1919, at Baden, Beaver County. He was the son of the late Walter C. and Helen (McDonald) Urling. He was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh School of Law. An attorney, he retired in 1983 as deputy chief of real estate of the Baltimore District of U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He had also practiced law in Beaver County. A member of Yorkshire United Methodist Church, he was a U.S. Army veteran of both World War II and Korea. An active volunteer of Contact-York, he served on its board of directors and was its treasurer for a number of years. Also he was a former member of York County Council of Churches and was a radio reader for the York County Blind Center. He was a member of the Historical Society of York County and served as a docent at the Bonham House, and was a volunteer at the Daily Bread Soup Kitchen. Mr. Urling was affiliated with Masonry, and belonged to Free and Accepted Masons Ambridge (Pa) Lodge 701, the Beaver Valley Commandery 84 Knights Temper of Beaver Falls, the Eureka Royal Arch Chapter 167 of Rochester (Pa.), the Tall Cedars of Lebanon York Forest 30. He was a member of Pennsylvania Bar Association, the American Legion Baden Post 641, and the White Rose Bridge Club. Mr. Urling also is survived by three daughters, Olive Blackall of Clinton, Md., H. Sharon Urling of Selinsgrove, and Audrey M. Urling of Durham, N.C.; and two sisters, Martha Baker of Shippensburg, and Clara Rosenberger of Des Peres, Mo.
