Barbara M. Pierce Walker age 80, formerly West 4th St., passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2010, at Abington Crest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born in Pittsburgh, on December 14, 1929, the daughter of the late Lonnie J. and Catherine E. Hughes Pierce. A graduate of Winchester Thurston High School, she attended Wilson College. Mrs. Walker was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of the Covenant and was a homemaker most of her life.
She is survived by two sons: Barrett P. Walker and his wife Margaret of Decatur, Georgia and Philip S. Walker of Jacksonville, Florida; four grandchildren: Kiara Lisa Capithorne and her husband Brad of Burlingame, Calif., Evan C. Walker and his wife Elana of Hagayna, Guam, Benjamin Harrison Walker of Orange Park, FL and Jeffrey Scott Walker of Metairie, La., and her first husband Dr. Barrett C. Walker of Erie.
