  The Times-Picayune (New Orleans, LA) February 11, 2007 Edwin Howard McCaleb III died at his ancestral home at age 83. Lt. Col. Edwin Howard McCaleb III, U.S.M.C. (Ret.), Esquire was the only son of Justice Edwin Howard McCaleb Jr., and Louise Wright McCaleb. He is survived by his only sister, Marion McCaleb Marshall of Kentucky and his only two children, daughters Capri McCaleb Pearce of California and Elodea McCaleb King of Texas. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grand children and nieces and nephews. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Headlamp McCaleb. Lt. Col. Edwin Howard McCaleb III, U.S.M.C. (Ret.), Esquire was a highly decorated Marine Aviator who retired in 1962 and returned to New Orleans where he received his Juris Doctorate of Law in the tradition of his family from Tulane University.
