  Austin American-Statesman March 9, 1995 Jennings Buddy'' Holland, 63, of Austin, died Tuesday, March 7, 1995. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War from January 22, 1951, until January 21, 1954. He was awarded the Korean Service Medal, the National Defense Medal, the United Nations Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. After the war, he attended the University of Texas. He retired from the Texas Purchasing Department as an office machine technician after 16 years of service. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Holland of Austin; daughter, Diana Lynn Holland of College Point, New York; son, Clay Barnes Holland of Austin; grandson and wife, Ryan Jennings and Kelly Holland; granddaughter, Kodi Louise Holland-Canales; great-grandchildren, Chase Jennings Holland and Kayla Michelle Holland; sister, Jeannine Lucille Locher of Charlottesville, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Deborah Louise Holland.
