  	The Daily Herald December 2, 1921 There took place in Lexington, Miss., on Friday of last week the wedding of Miss Olivia Barrett, daughter of the late Judge Barrett, of Gulfport[sic actually uncle], to Edwin Linfield, son of Mrs. R. P. Linfield of the West Beach Boulevard. The ceremomy was performed in the presence of relatives and friends of the contracting parties. Miss Barrett is well known in Biloxi and Gulfport, she spent many summers on the coast, where she has numerous friends, who will wish for her and her bridegroom all happiness. The groom is a young man of sterling qualities who has a large number of friends. He and his wife came to the coast where they will make their home, residing on the grounds of the Junior Gulf Coast Military Academy. In honor of their return and complimentary to Mrs. Linfield, who is a warm friend, Miss Devaux Money entertained at an informal tea at her home 131 Main street Wednesday afternoon, at which there were present a number of friends of the hostess and her guest.

  Waco Tribune-Herald (TX) June 24, 2010 Ann Linfield Petty, 85, of Temple, passed away June 22, 2010, in a Georgetown hospital. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday,Ê June 26, at the First Presbyterian Church of Belton with the Rev. Judy Liljestrand officiating. Burial will be at the North Belton Cemetery. Mrs. Petty was born Dec. 24, 1924, in Gulfport, Miss., the daughter of Dr. Edwin Harper Linfield and Olivia Barrett Linfield.ÊShe was a graduate of Gulf Park College. She married O. L. Petty, June 25, 1945, in Gulfport, Miss. Mrs. Petty was an artist, and was a member of the Salado Village Artists. She was an elder in the First Presbyterian Church of Belton. Mrs. Petty is survived by her husband, O. L. Petty of Temple; sons, David William Petty and wife, Laura, of Lake Belton and Stephen Edwin Petty and wife, Sherry, of Salado; daughter, Jeanne Ann Wilson and husband, Eddie, of Woodway; sister, Mary Barrett Harpole of Smyrna, Tenn.; grandchildren, Darrell Petty and wife, Cristi, Russell Petty and wife, Jennifer, Chris Sells and wife, Meagan, Stuart Petty and wife, Alicia, Alison Petty Stokes and husband, Andy, Elise Wilson Donaldson and husband, John, and Erin Wilson Venegoni and husband, Jason; great-grandchildren, Melody, Olivia, and Karis Donaldson, Haley and Jenna Venegoni, Lillian and Grace Sells, Ryan Petty, Reagan Petty, and Sebastian Stokes.
